John 3:16-18 .. Tells Us: GOD IS A GIVER! (a), "Believes in." In the Greek, Lit; means to:
(1). TRUST IN (2), CLING TO (3) RELY TOTALLY UPON (4) OBEDIENCE.
Romans 9: 30-33... Wrong way to come to Jesus, this is, "self righteousness!"
Romans 10:9-10,13.. Now we are beginning to see how to come!
Ephesians 2:1-8... We were once controlled by the sinful nature and the powers of darkness, but through "Grace and Faith," we come to the Living God. It is NOTHING we've done, it is ALL what Jesus has done.
Titus 2:11-14.. "True Grace," teaches us to say no to all sin and ungodliness in our lives. And to live holy and righteous lives in "this present age," (now).
John 14:21-24.. Again Jesus says "IF," we love Him we will obey!
Luke 12:16-21.. This is the very character of Satan and the self nature, we are supposed to stop.
John 8:31-36.. "IF" you hold to My teaching Jesus says!
Romans 6: 1-7,15-18.. The "true" Christian has the power from God to "overcome" the desires of the sinful nature and walk with God in righteousness and purity of heart, body, soul, mind, spirit.
Romans 8: 12-15... We live by the power of the Holy Spirit, and He leads us to put to death the misdeeds of the flesh.(again, so we can walk in righteousness).
I John 4: 16-18.. Leaning on the foundation of the love of God, "relying upon" His perfect love and will for our lives!
I John 2:15-17.. Again, we see, death to the "self life," and to the "spirit of this world."(harlot spirit).
Galatians 1:6-12.. Here Paul warns us of "turning away from the truth, and following other idols.
"Galatians 5:13-25.. A very good "summation," of our walk with God!
I John 1:5-9... Walking in the light, is to walk in obedience to the Word of God, thus, walking in love toward Him and our neighbor.
I John 2:3-6.. Whoever "claims" to "know Him," (be saved), must walk as Jesus walked! (this is not a request or an option). We are to "imitate" His nature and His character!- (Ephesians 5:1-33).
I John 3:1-10, 13-24.. This, again, reveals to us, the walk of the true believer.
Matthew 22:37-40.. The "law of Christ," in the New Testament. WHEN I WALK IN THIS, I KEEP THE TEN COMMANDMENTS!!!!! IT'S A LOVE WALK TOWARD GOD AND MY NEIGHBOR!......Matthew 16:24-26. Matthew 7: 17-27. IIPeter 3:9b-17. IIPeter 1:3-15

REVELATION 2: 1) "To the angel of the church in Ephesus, write: These are the words of Him who holds the seven stars in His right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands:
Beloved, here we clearly see that Jesus, "walks," among His Church, and, "oversees it." And remember, God's purpose, is never that men be glorified! But Jesus gets all the Glory!
God's purposes are so infinite, so much different than ours. Yet, He wants to make His will known to us, so He can have a people to Himself! A people who seek Him , and know His heart, and hunger for Him alone! This is why, "He is still leading His church." He want's to prepare her to be the bride "He desires" for His soon return. Did you get that last part? The bride that, HE desires!
You see, it is not what "our" idea of holiness is, it is not "our" idea of what our "gatherings" should be, or look like! But, He wants us to understand His ways with us, and in us, by the revelation of His Spirit in us, we must seek to know, and be sensitive to, the workings, and direction His Spirit is leading us, for each and every gathering! We must not make the mistake so many are making today, and think, well, this is the way God moved today in our service, so we must expect that each time. After all, that was a wonderful experience, and we certainly want more of that in our midst!
This is certainly all well and good, (that is, to want the presence of God, and His workings in our gatherings), But we must take heed, that we do not try in our own energy, to create and duplicate, that, "visitation," because, the Holy Spirit may have in mind a "different method," a different "kind" of visitation, in His ministry to us next time we gather! And if we are still, "hung over," on what He has done before, and try to recreate that same situation, we will most certainly "MISS" His will for us in His dealings, and the intended pathway He wants us to take. (which is simply to let Him lead each time, "as He wills.") Beloved, God is moving, and He is saying to us who have an ear to hear, what He has been saying to His people from the beginning! FOLLOW ME!
So, you see, God has His plans, His methods, His timing. But, we've stepped in and messed up most of them,with our own religious plans derived from our own pride. Our own agendas and selfish ambitions, to "look good," have gotten in the way of what God really has for us!
So, God has different ideas, and we need to know them, and get in line with them, and allow Him to prepare us to be a people,"empty of self,"and filled with the"illumination,"of what the Holy Spirit wants us to be, and come to the place, that we can learn to wait on Him, and let Him have "FULL CONTROL" in our lives, and in our corporate gatherings, so the blessings of heaven can be poured upon us with His anointing, and not our own "mixture," which will not produce true life in the body!
Beloved, Jesus is truly walking among us, He's moving in our midst, revealing Himself, and His ways to those who will obey, and catch the "vision," and go His way. Again, He wants to make us a "prepared" bride, a people strong in the faith of Jesus Christ, ready for the days that are soon coming upon us!
Malachi 3:1-3), Tells us we are being "refined," "tested," "perfected," as a people being "made ready," for His coming! This too, must take place in our "gatherings," or we've missed the very point of the "refinement" to bring true purity to His bride. (I Peter 1:6-9), will help you to understand, that, when you ask for the "baptism of the Holy Spirit; It was a baptism of Holy Fire! Not just something you could walk away from and say, "oh now I can speak with tongues!"
I Peter 4:16; Tells us of His purifying judgment. It is designed by God to "cleanse," and to "convict." This is the third stage of having true revival!
The first stage, is to individually, and corporately want it! To hunger and thirst for God! The second stage, , is to live in prayer-staying in the "tent of meeting," before the Lord! The third stage, is to allow "anointed preaching and teaching," to prepare your heart by the Holy Spirit to bring, conviction, contrition, true brokeness, confession, and true repentance!
Beloved, the church can "live," in this state of true revival until Jesus comes! Praise God. It does not have to be for one Sunday, or for one week, or month, or one year! WE CAN LIVE IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD CONTINUALLY, AND ENJOY CONTINUAL REVIVAL IN OUR HEARTS, AND IN OUR GATHERINGS! WE CAN HAVE LOVELY AND POWERFUL VISITATIONS FROM THE LORD, AS LONG AS WE ALLOW "HIM" TO BE IN CONTROL, AS HE WALKS AMONG HIS GOLDEN LAMPSTANDS!

"ANOINTING"
When There Is "Genuine" Anointing
What Can Hinder You?
Was Jesus any less anointed when He
had trouble come against Him?
Was Jesus any less anointed when the
people rejected Him and His Word?
Was Jesus any less anointed when
the people shouted, "crucify Him?"
Was Paul any less anointed
when he was thrown in jail?
Was Paul any less anointed when
he was adrift at sea?
Was Jeremiah any less anointed
When they made plans against him;
plans not to listen to his words?
My friend, when there is a "genuine"
anointing;
Things will happen!
Good things!
Turbulent things!
But things will happen!

"A WORD ABOUT CONTROL"
Romans 8: 6-8
The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind
controlled by the Spirit is life and peace;
the sinful mind is hostile to God.
It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so.
Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.
Whatever God gives me to do, He will also with
that assignment,
give me the anointing and the authority, to do it correctly and effectively.
It is when I fear not being in control, that I
begin to rule with "harshness;"
The "harshness," is nothing more than "fear,"
that I must keep a "tight reign," or else lose that control!
Beloved, God must be in control over all I am
doing!
And I must learn to except His way of doing it!
I must learn to leave the "results" to Him,
and not try and, "control" the situation to accommodate
my own personal satisfaction!
I am "not," the owner of anything, only
the care taker.
The people I minister to and live with,
even my own life,
do not belong to me, but to God!
So, I must develop a confident trust in the
Father.
And this, will lead to both a willingness,
and a surrender to hear His voice in each situation!
When I am doing what, "He sees best,"
not manipulating;
Not controlling things to get my own way,
or, even what I think to be "God's desired results,
Now I am learning what it means to be a "dead man."

"A WORD ON DISCONTENTMENT"

Being discontent with things, or with places, or
relationships,
comes from the mind set that say's;
"I deserve better!"
Bad things should not happen to me.
Life should be easier, less of a hassle, not so much responsibility!
Then when things go "bad," I try to fix
it myself, (wanting control),
This begins with the fruit of "murmuring," or with, "complaining."
Next, if I can't fix it, I'll just "ignore it," "forget it,"
This is also the "perfectionist" attitude!
If it can't "all" be done now, and be done "perfectly,"
then just forget all of it!
Then I refuse, and neglect what is expected of me;
because, "I" don't want to do it!
Then make excuses for why I did not!
This, "discontentment," still finds
itself in the root of "superiority," (selfishness),
and in "pride," which, are both, the character and nature of Satan!
This spirit wants to be "catered to," and have the attention;
It wants to have things, without, "effort," or "labor."
"WHAT DO I DO?"
#1). EXPECT PROBLEMS AND TROUBLE TO CONTINUE!
In John 16:33
Jesus said: "I have told you these things, so that in me you
will have peace. In this world you will have trouble.
But take heart! I have overcome the world."
#2). PRAISE GOD IN THE TROUBLES, AND GIVE THANKS!
Philippians 4:4-6
Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice!
Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God.

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.

I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty.

whether living in plenty or in want.
I can do everything through
Him who gives me strength.

This is a letter written by a young Black Pastor in Rhodesia, just before he was Martyred by communist soldiers in the war takeover there. Bloodshed everywhere! He was told, "RENOUNCE CHRIST OR DIE!"
The following words were written on paper, found at his desk after he was martyred. This is really a message to all believers, and should become, "our" testimony!
"I am part of the fellowship of the unashamed. I have the Holy Spirit power. The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I'm a disciple of His. I won't look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still.
My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, my future is secure. I am finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tainted vision, world talking, cheap giving, and dwarfed goals.
I no longer need pre-eminence, prosperity, position, promotions,plaudits, or popularity. I don't have to be right, tops, recognized, praised, regarded, or rewarded. I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by His patience, am uplifted by prayer, and labor with power.
My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions are few, my guide is reliable, my mission is clear.
I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, or lured away, turned back, deluded or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of the enemy, ponder at it's pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.
I won't give up, shut up, let up, until I have stayed up, stoved up, prayed up, payed up, preached up for the cause of Christ. I am a disciple of Christ. I must go till He comes, give till I drop, preach till all know, and work till He stops me. And when He comes for His own, He will have no problem recognizing me..... My banner will be clear.

"WHO SHALL SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF CHRIST..... ?"
(Romans8: 35)
God does not keep a man immune from trouble; He says, "I will be with him in trouble." It does not matter what actual troubles in the most extreme form get hold of a man's life, not one of them can separate him from his relationship to God. We are "more than conquerors in all these things." Paul is not talking of imaginary things, but of things that are desperately actual; an he says we are super-victors in the midst of them, not by our ingenuity, or by our courage, or by anything other than the fact that not one of them affects our relationship to God in Jesus Christ. Rightly or wrongly, we are where we are, exactly in the condition we are in. I am sorry for the Christian who has not something in his circumstances he wishes was not there.
"Shall tribulation.... ?" Tribulation is never a noble thing; but let tribulation be what it may- exhausting, galling, fatiguing, it is not able to separate us from the love of God. Never let cares or tribulations separate you from the fact that God loves you.
"Shall anguish.... ?" Can God's love hold when everything says that His love is a lie, and that there is no such thing as justice?
"Shall famine.... ?" Can we not only believe in the love of God but be more than conquerors, even while we are being starved?
Either Jesus Christ is a deceiver and Paul is deluded, or some extraordinary thing happens to a man who holds to the love of God when the odds are all against God's character. Logic is silenced in the face of every one of these things. Only one thing can count for it, the love of God in Christ Jesus- "OUT OF THE WRECK I RISE" every time!

A Cowboy Goes to Church
One Sunday morning an old cowboy entered a church just before
services
were to begin. Although the old man and his clothes were spotlessly
clean, he wore jeans, a denim shirt and boots that were very worn and
ragged. In his hand he carried a worn out old hat and an equally worn
out Bible.
The church he entered was in a very upscale and exclusive
part of the city. It was the largest and most beautiful church the old
cowboy had ever seen. The people of the congregation were all dressed
with expensive clothes and accessories.
As the cowboy took a seat, the others moved away from him.
No one greeted, spoke to, or welcomed him. They were all appalled at his appearance and did not attempt to hide it.
The preacher gave a long sermon about Hellfire and brimstone and a
stern lecture on how much money the church needed to do God's work.
As the old cowboy was leaving the church, the preacher approached him
and asked the cowboy to do him a favor. "Before you come back in here
again, have a talk with God and ask him what He thinks would be
appropriate attire for worship."
The old cowboy assured the preacher he would. The next Sunday, he
showed back up for the services wearing the same ragged jeans, shirt,
boots, and hat. Once again he was completely shunned and ignored.
The preacher approached the man and said, "I thought I asked you to
speak to God before you came back to our church."
"I did," replied the old cowboy.
"If you spoke to God, what did he tell you the proper attire should
be for worshipping in here?" asked the preacher.
"Well, sir, God told me that He didn't have a clue what I should wear.
He says He's never been here before."
