"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or The Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.

(Matthew 5: 17)

I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear,  not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

(Matthew 5:18)

....  in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit.

(Romans 1:4).

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it:  'Love your neighbor as yourself.'   All the law and the prophets hang on these two commandments."

(Matthew 22:37-40)

Beloved, it should be very clear to us just by reading the scriptures above, that the ten commandments are still for us to obey!  Jesus has not yet abolished them!     He has, (for those who walk with Him by grace through faith), done away with the "Mosaic Law."  This was a Law filled with customs, and rituals, and ceremonies, works!   This could never bring righteousness!  In fact it was a" teacher" to point out to us how much we needed a Savoir! Jesus Christ!   Look again at the scriptures above.

Has heaven and earth passed away yet?  Certainly not!  Neither has the Law!    Did Jesus say He came to fulfill the Law?  Yes He did!    Did Paul tell us in the scripture above, that Christ will fulfill the righteous requirements of the law through us, "if," we do not "live" according to the sinful nature, but according to the Spirit of God?     In other words, as we submit to the will of the Holy Spirit in our lives The life of Jesus is being "manifest" through us!  We are bearing fruit!

In (Romans 8:13-14),  We read...  For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live,   because those who are lead by the Spirit of God are sons of God.    You see it is very clear!   We are no longer under the bondage to performance and works!  We are no longer slaves to the "Mosaic Law."

We do not walk with God on the basis of "merit and works."   "Customs and traditions!" "Ceremonies and rituals!"   NO!  we walk in freedom, by the grace of God.  We please Him by faith (trust), and we still keep the Ten Commandments!  How do We do this?

We do not get up in the morning and say, "well I shall not commit adultery today,"  or   "I shall not give false testimony," and so forth.   This is the walk of those who are still under the Law, (Mosaic Law), they are trying to please God on the basis of their goodness, and their   ability to keep the Law in their own (fleshly) power.

Beloved, we get up in the morning and say, "I love you Lord Jesus!" "You have my whole heart!" You see, we will keep the Ten Commandments, by walking by faith in a  "LOVE RELATIONSHIP," WITH JESUS!   NOT BY STRIVING!  BUT BY YIELDING TO THE LEADERSHIP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT!    IT'S  A LOVE WALK WITH CHRIST!

Let me say one more thing before we see that the Ten Commandments are found all through the New Testament!  Why would we not think, we should still keep the Ten Commandments?Shall we now have "other gods" before Him?    Shall we now become "idolaters?" Shall we now "bear false testimony" against our neighbor? Shall we now become "murderers?"   Shall we now "covet?"   And so on and so on!

Now, let me show you that all of the Ten Commandments are found in the" New Testament:" It is not my intention here to elaborate on each of these, but to simply let the scripture do the revealing for us!   We shall by no means give "ALL,"  the references, for the sake of time, but ample enough to turn our eyes to the "truth," and away from the "lie," that we no longer have to obey the Ten Commandments!      And beloved, please do not forget, These are kept through our "love walk" with Jesus, in rest, and trust in Him, by the power and the working of His Spirit in us!

Exodus 20:3).     ...... YOU SHALL HAVE NO OTHER gods BEFORE ME. Matthew 22:37)..  "Love the Lord your God with all your heart  and with all your soul and with all your mind." Acts 19:26).. "And you see and hear how this fellow Paul has convinced and led astray large numbers of people here in Ephesus and in practically the whole province of Asia. He says that man-made gods are no gods at all.

Exodus 20:4).  ....  YOU SHALL NOT MAKE FOR YOURSELVES AN IDOL IN THE  FORM OF ANYTHING IN HEAVEN ABOVE OR ON THE EARTH BENEATH OR IN THE WATERS BELOW. I Corinthians 10:7).  ... Do not be idolaters as some of them were; as it is written:   "The people sat down to eat and drink and got up  to indulge in pagan revelry. Colossians 3: 5-6).   ..  Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. I John 5:21).   ...  Dear children, keep yourselves from idols. I Corinthians 10:14-15).  ....   Therefore my dear friends, flee from idolatry.  I speak to sensible people; judge for yourselves what I say.

Exodus 20: 7).  .. YOU SHALL NOT MISUSE THE NAME OF THE LORD YOUR GOD, FOR THE LORD WILL NOT HOLD ANYONE GUILTLESS WHO MISUSES   HIS NAME. Luke 1: 49).  ... For the mighty one has done great things for me- holy is His name. Acts 19: 17).  ..  When this became known to the Jews and Greeks living in Ephesus, they were all seized with fear, and the name of the Lord Jesus was held in high honor. Matthew 6:9).  ..  "This is how you should pray: "' Our Father in heaven hallowed (to make holy, to sanctify, to "honor."), be your name,............ Revelation 19: 13).  He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His name is The Word of God.

Exodus 20: 8).  REMEMBER THE SABBATH DAY BY KEEPING IT HOLY. Hebrews 4: 8-11).  For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day.  There remains then, a Sabbath rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God's rest also rest from his own work,(**),  just as God did from His. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience.

**(Note:  At this juncture, let me say this; Some believe that it is "sacrilegious," to do anything on "Sunday."  My friend, under the "Mosaic Law," You would be put to death for gathering firewood on the Sabbath!    Can you imagine the Lord killing you for going to the   market, or for washing your car, or even having to work an extra day that week!  NO! God does not operate that way!   Again, this is tradition, religious spirits in the church,  self- righteousness, to think that only "ONE DAY A WEEK IS HOLY!" This passage in Hebrews four, is clearly speaking of that "rest," where we now "cease" from all our fleshly striving to be holy!  He is clearly telling us, that we need not continue under the "MOSAIC  LAW."  "ALSO REST FROM HIS OWN WORK."   What do you think he is saying here?  I'll tell you.  He is saying, enter that rest in Christ, that Salvation rest, trusting in the blood of Jesus, not traditions and legalism.  He is saying "YOU NEED NOT WORK FOR YOUR SALVATION!   THE SABBATH DAY IS EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK! THINK ABOUT IT!....WOULD GOD ONLY CALL FOR ONE DAY A WEEK TO BE HOLY?   IS THIS HOW YOU LIVE YOUR LIFE, ONE DAY A WEEK YOU WILL BE HOLY UNTO GOD?   NO MY FRIEND, "EVERYDAY" IS THE "SABBATH DAY," IN THE SINCE THAT WE ARE TO WALK BEFORE THE LORD IN RIGHTEOUSNESS EACH AND EVERY DAY OF OUR LIVES!   HE'S SAYING IT IS ALL BY FAITH IN THE FINISHED WORK OF CHRIST!  IT IS A WALK OF HOLINESS!

Exodus 20: 12).  HONOR YOUR FATHER AND YOUR MOTHER, SO THAT YOU MAY LIVE LONG IN THE LAND THE LORD YOUR GOD IS GIVING YOU. Ephesians 6: 1-2).  Children obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. "Honor your father and mother"- which is the first commandment with a promise-that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth. Colossians 3: 20).  Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.

Exodus20:13).  YOU SHALL NOT MURDER. (your bible may say "kill," but, LIT: it is murder. Matthew 5:21-22a).   .. "You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.'   But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment....... I John 3: 15).  ..  Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him. Matthew 15: 19).  ..  For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder............ Revelation 22:15    ( Jesus, speaking of those who, "did not," enter the kingdom of heaven). Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers...........

Exodus 20: 14).  ..  YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY. Matthew 5: 27-28).  ..  "You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.' But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Hebrews 13: 4).  ..  Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral. I Corinthians 6: 9).  .. Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers..........

Exodus 20:15).  ..  YOU SHALL NOT STEAL Matthew 19: 16-19).  .. Now a man came to Jesus and ask, "Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?"  "why do you ask me about what is good?" Jesus replied. "There is only One who is good.(*), If you want to enter life, obey the commandments," "Which ones?"  The man inquired.   Jesus replied.  " 'Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,' and' love your neighbor as yourself.' " (* Note..  Beloved, you must understand here, that first of all,"almost," all the Ten Commandments are in this one passage of scripture!    Next, if you read on, you will see the purpose Jesus was getting at.  The man was told by Jesus to go and sell "all" he had then he could follow Jesus. The Bible says the man went away downcast. See, he was rich, and many "things,"had a hold on him! Jesus wants "all" the heart, not just a part. When we come to Him we "must" come and  be willing to lay down everything!  This man could not, his heart was tied to something else other than loving Jesus with a whole heart!   The point of   "keeping the Commandments here," is that Jesus is saying, "COME AND LAY DOWN EVERYTHING AND EMBRACE ME IN YOUR HEART OF HEARTS, AND LOVE ME WITH ALL YOUR HEART, "DENY YOURSELF, AND COME AND FOLLOW ME!"). Romans 13:9).  ..  The commandments, "Do not commit adultery, "Do not murder," "Do not steal," "Do not covet," and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule:  "Love your neighbor as yourself."  Therefore love is the fulfillment of the Law. (that is to say the law of Christ!  Matthew 22:37). Ephesians 4: 28).  ..  He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with his own hands, that he may have something to share with those in need.

Exodus 20: 16).  YOU SHALL NOT BEAR FALSE TESTIMONY Ephesians 4: 25).  . Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his  neighbor, for we are all members of one body. Luke 3: 14).  . Then some soldiers asked him,  "And what should we do?"He, (John), replied, "Don't extort money, and don't accuse people falsely- be content with your pay. Rev 22:15). .. Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

Exodus 20: 17).   YOU SHALL NOT COVET   (to crave what belongs to someone else.) Luke 12:15).  .. Jesus said to them...   "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions." Hebrews 13:5).  . . Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,    "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." I Peter 5:2).  . . Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, serving as overseers- not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve; not not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.

Walk by the Law?
Not the Mosaic Law!
But as I walk in Love
I fulfill the Law of Christ!
Love God with all my heart,
and my neighbor as myself!
Now I am keeping the "Ten Commandments"
