HOW TO KNOW JESUS CHRIST AS LORD! John 3:16-18 .. Tells Us: GOD IS A GIVER! (a), "Believes in." In the Greek, Lit; means to: (1). TRUST IN, (2). CLING TO, (3). RELY TOTALLY UPON , (4). OBEDIENCE. Romans 9: 30-33... Wrong way to come to Jesus, this is, "self righteousness!" Romans 10:9-10,13.. Now we are beginning to see how to come! Ephesians 2:1-8... We were once controlled by the sinful nature and the powers of darkness, but through "Grace and Faith," we come to the Living God. It is NOTHING we've done, it is ALL what Jesus has done. Titus 2:11-14.. "True Grace," teaches us to say no to all sin and ungodliness in our lives. And to live holy and righteous lives in "this present age," (now).John 14:21-24.. Again Jesus says "IF," we love Him we will obey! Luke 12:16-21.. This is the very character of Satan and the self nature, we are supposed to stop. John 8:31-36.. "IF" you hold to My teaching Jesus says! Romans 6: 1-7,15-18.. The "true" Christian has the power from God to "overcome" the desires of the sinful nature and walk with God in righteousness and purity of heart, body, soul, mind, spirit. Romans 8: 12-15... We live by the power of the Holy Spirit, and He leads us to put to death the misdeeds of the flesh.(again, so we can walk in righteousness). I John 4: 16-18.. Leaning on the foundation of the love of God, "relying upon" His perfect love and will for our lives! I John 2:15-17.. Again, we see, death to the "self life," and to the "spirit of this world."(harlot spirit). Galatians 1:6-12.. Here Paul warns us of "turning away from the truth, and following other idols. "Galatians 5:13-25.. A very good "summation," of our walk with God! I John 1:5-9... Walking in the light, is to walk in obedience to the Word of God, thus, walking in love toward Him and our neighbor. I John 2:3-6.. Whoever "claims" to "know Him," (be saved), must walk as Jesus walked! (this is not a request or an option). We are to "imitate" His nature and His character!- (Ephesians 5:1-33). I John 3:1-10, 13-24.. This, again, reveals to us, the walk of the true believer. Matthew 22:37-40.. The "law of Christ," in the New Testament. WHEN I WALK IN THIS, I KEEP THE TEN COMMANDMENTS!!!!! IT'S A LOVE WALK TOWARD GOD AND MY NEIGHBOR!......Matthew 16:24-26. Matthew 7: 17-27. II Peter 3:9b-17. II Peter 1:3-15 "LET'S CONTINUE" #1. GODS LOVE JN. 3:16, ROM.5:8, I JN. 4:10, GAL. 1:4, LK. 19:10, I TIM. 1:15, NU. 14:18, PS., 33:5, PS. 63:3 ... ETC. #2. YOUR SIN: ROM. 3;10, ROM. 3:23, ISA. 64:6, I JN. 1:8, EZEK. 33:10-13,17-20, DEUT. 28:15-68 THE CURSES OF THE LAW. Gal 3:13, SET FREE FROM THE CURSE.
#3. PENALTY OR JUDGMENT ON SIN: EZEK. 18:4,20, JM. 1:15, ROM. 6:23, EZEK. 33:10-13, HEB. 9.27, ROM.,14:12, REV. 21:6-8, REV. 20:12 ... ETC.
#4. UNABLE TO SAVE YOURSELF GAL 2:16, EPH. 2:8-9, ROM. 3:20, PROV. 14:12, ISA. 64:6, TITUS 3:5, JN. 14:6, ....ETC.
