(1). THE WINDS (2). THE RAINS (3). PRESSURE (4). TIME

Lets look at the definition of the first element.

(1).THE WINDS..THIS IS BOOT CAMP, THE VERY ELEMENTARY STAGES OF OUR JOURNEY.

The winds are the things which come and go through our life and your reason and human logic CANNOT understand them. They are the dealings of the HOLY SPIRIT, the workings of HIS wisdom that defy your finite thinking. At times they even PERPLEX you, but the Spirit knows all things.

Some of the working of the WINDS in our lives are:

(1) (TESTING & TRIALS, I PET:2:4-5)

(2) (PLACEMENT, ACTS 8: 26-29,39 )

(3) (SUBMISSION, GODS WILL NOT MINE, ROM8:14).

As we just read in Romans 8, we must learn to be led by THE SPIRIT OF GOD, rather than our OWN CARNAL THINKING AND WORLDLY WISDOM. (GEN:3), (JAMES3:13:ff). We must allow the HOLY SPIRIT to teach us how to take every thought CAPTIVE to the obedience of Christ. Remember the battle field is the mind, but Satan is ultimately after your HEART! He wants to fill it with ways and thoughts OTHER THAN GODS. Then what has been sown in our hearts will begin to come out of our lives, (WALK). When we are led by the SPIRIT OF GOD,our hearts are full of Jesus and what comes forth from our WALK will be the IMAGE AND LIKENESS OF JESUS. When we do not SUBMIT to the "WINDS" of the Spirit in our lives and follow the ways of selfish ambition, then we are led by a "DIFFERENT" spirit. The apostle Paul warned the Corinthian Church about being careless with their "DEVOTION" to Christ and following "ANOTHER JESUS", (II Cor.11:1-4).   Notice (vs.3)."BUT I AM AFRAID THAT THROUGH THE SERPENT'S CUNNING (worldy wisdom), YOUR MINDS MAY SOMEHOW BE LED ASTRAY FROM YOUR SINCERE AND PURE DEVOTION TO CHRIST.

Look with me at (I Cor. 2:10-14), and notice in (vs.10), "but God has revealed "IT" to us by his Spirit). The word "IT", refers back to (vs6).. the word of "WISDOM". Notice also in(ch: 1:30) It is Christ who is our "WISDOM".

So, in 2:10-14 we see that the WIND of the Spirit is teaching us the "DEEP" things of God, not so we can boast, but that we would know him better! You will also see this in (Eph:1:17). Also in (ch:2:10-14, of  I Cor.), we see that the Spirit of God is giving us "UNDERSTANDING OF COVENANT". And he is imparting to us "SPIRITUAL DISCERNMENT". You see the "WINDS" of the Spirit bring clearer understanding and revelation ----- ONLY IF OUR HEARTS HAVE NO IDOLS WE WON'T DEAL WITH, AND IF WE WILL SUBMIT AND BECOME THE LIVING SACRIFICES DESCRIBED IN (ROM:12:1-2).

And finally #4). The WINDS "UNCOVER" things, as the dealings of the Holy Spirit works through our lives.

(E.G.) Root "Attitudes" of the heart that hinder true fellowship with God and others. These "Attitudes" are surfaced by the "WINDS". (The dealings, the testings, fires, trials, etc.)

Now the "DROSS" comes to the top, the "CHAFF" is being "EXPOSED", the "PRUNING" is taking place. WE'RE IN BOOT CAMP! The word says in (4:17). FOR IT IS TIME FOR JUDGMENT TO BEGIN WITH THE HOUSE OF GOD.  BELOVED THIS IS A TIME OF "PREPARATION" FOR THE PRESSURES OF THE FURNACE YET TO COME!

TEACHING, TRAINING, PROVISION, PREPARATION, EXPOSURE, AND PLACEMENT IN HIS WILL.

GET IN ON IT! LET THE "WINDS" OF THE HOLY SPIRIT HAVE HIS WAY IN YOUR LIFE. THIS IS STAGE 1 OF A WONDERFUL PROCESS TO BRING US INTO THE FULLNESS OF GOD!
